Usage
កែប្រែ- Mostly in
{{infobox element}}
.
Extension by atomic number
កែប្រែThe template takes parameter number=
(think atomic number). When this number is >118, the template expands with group 8 rows, adding the (predicted) elements with atomic number 119–+. Apart from this 118+ switching, the parameter is not used as an atomic number, so to force the expansion one can also write:
{{NavPeriodicTable|number=200}}

Marking elements
កែប្រែAnd element (table cell) is marked by a black border line on its article page (see Carbon). Cells can also be marked by group (column) and by category (chemical property, background color). To do so, use parameter mark
and a group number (1-18) or category name (exactly spelled as in {{NavPeriodicTable/Elementcell}} or the mouse hover text. See for example Alkaline metal.
{{NavPeriodicTable|mark=metalloid}}

- Note:
Group=-1
will mark ungrouped elements (actinides, lanthanides, Uus, Uuo).Group=-2
will mark the whole extended range (Z=119 and higher; period 8) - Note: "(predicted)" categories are named differently, colored differently, and so cannot be grouped (marked) together with its "discovered" parent category.

This is an 18-column periodic table layout, which has come to be referred to as the common or standard form, on account of its popularity. It is also sometimes referred to as the long form, in comparison to the short form or Mendeleev-style, which omits groups 3–12 by placing their elements into the main groups. The wide periodic table incorporates the lanthanides and the actinides, rather than separating them from the main body of the table in order to save space. The extended periodic table adds the 8th and 9th periods, including the superactinides. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
