I have been translating Buddhist texts from English into Khmer language. My recent works, as you can see the links on the right, were the translation of Pure Land Buddhism, especially the Sukhavativyuha Sutra which is the most valuable Sutra of Mahayana Buddhism. Most Khmer people practice Theravada. My intention here is to introduce Pure Land Buddhism to Khmer people in Khmer language. From my 20 years of practicing Theravada, studying Dharma and meditating, I am still not satisfied with the result - unable to attain Appana Jhana. Now that I have found the Pure Land Buddhism, I believe that, by relying on both my own power and the power of Amitabha Buddha, my aspiration can be fulfilled - to free myself from this Saha World (the world of five turbidities and three evil paths.)
Previously, I have translated many Buddhist texts and put them all in one place, so that the Khmer Buddhists would find them easily on Wikipedia (Khmer Language), links on the right. It took me a lot of time and effort to complete the translations, because of my limited English and difficulty of finding the right Khmer words to translate...
